Professor David Solomon

a Fellow of the Royal Society (FRS)

The Royal Society is the world's oldest scientific academy dedicated to enquiry and discovery. Fellows are elected for their contributions to science, both in fundamental research, and also in leading and directing scientific and technological progress in industry and research establishments, and have included the likes of Charles Darwin, Albert Einstein and Isaac Newton.

Professor Frank Caruso

a Federation Fellow and international expert in nanostructures

Federation Fellowships are lucrative grants (A$1.125 million over five years) designed to attract and retain in Australia top researchers to lead world-class research teams.

Laureate Professor Rod Tucker

one of the 250 most cited researchers worldwide in the field of Engineering in the past 20 years

Professor Tucker is an international leader in photonics and telecommunications research and is also a Federation Fellowship recipient.

Professor David Boger

winner of the Prime Minsiter's Science Prize
winner of the 2003 Clunies Ross National Science and Technology Award

He has worked to apply science and technology to solve community problems. He is widely recognised for his discovery of a class of elastic fluids now known as 'Boger Fluids'.
